2012 Keystone Cougar 24RKSWE For Sale Now $12,500!
This Cougar is loaded with options, which are listed below. It has the Polar Package, which includes dual-pane windows and enclosed heated underbelly. We have found this useful for moderately cold weather. One option that is very helpful is the storage rack that slides out two feet from the rear of the trailer. It will support up to 200lbs; good for a generator or your bikes or whatever fits. We found it very useful in our travels. The unit is designed to be towable by 1/2 ton pickups.
We’ve added some stuff too – three 100-W solar panels & controller, a new powered front jack and a 24″ TV to replace the 19″ factory TV. We’ve replaced the rear entry steps in 2022. The hot water tank was replaced in 2024. All interior lighting (except the hood and fridge lights) have been replaced with LED lights. Two under-cabinet LED lights added. The shower pan was replaced five years ago (that was a fun job!) There are brand new taps on the kitchen sink, and the RV Queen mattress was replaced with a new 8″ foam mattress in the fall of 2020. Both street-side trailer tires are new due to a tread issue we discovered recently while it was in storage. The tires match the others, and are available from Kal Tire.
We also replaced the sheet vinyl floor with vinyl plank flooring. There are a few planks that have started to separate. We will include a carton of new vinyl planks as replacements.
We redecorated the interior to have a more residential look – it doesn’t look like every other RV out there. The two IKEA chairs have since been replaced with two recliners.
The exterior is in good shape (needs a good wax job after the winter season). Decals are good with minimal fading. The only water leak was a small crack in the shower skylight which was immediately fixed with sealant and there was no damage to the roof or walls. The drivers side fender skirt broke in the cold weather and needs to be replaced eventually (does not affect towing). The black tank dump valve will need to be replaced, although it is usable for now. Because it has not moved for a couple of years, we recommend servicing the brakes and bearings.
The unit is currently in an RV site at Aspen Crossing, in Mossleigh, AB. To view, please Contact Us.
